The work initial schedule is: Sunday - Thursday: 7:00am to 3:00pm. Must be able to work other schedules as well. </strong>This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#EGS</p>\n<p>#LI-NS1 </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assisting the Crafts personnel in minor building maintenance tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: making minor adjustment and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sewage systems; architectural and structural building components; interior and exterior entrance doors; all door locks, windows, floors systems, roof systems, roof gutters, downspouts, window and floor coverings.</li>\n <li>Performing some minor preventive maintenance functions while under supervision, such as but not limited to changing filters; cleaning cooler towers, heating and cooling coils; cleaning floor drains, grease traps, roof gutters, downspouts; and changing fluorescent tubes and other light bulbs where needed.</li>\n <li>Replace ceiling tiles and make necessary and minor carpentry repairs as needed.</li>\n <li>Empty drip pans throughout the facility.</li>\n <li>Perform snow removal</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required or directed by the shift lead or manager on duty. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Three to five years’ experience in the operation of central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems.</li>\n <li>Experience & proven ability to safely secure electrical systems for maintenance.</li>\n <li>Basic carpentry skills.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of operation of building auxiliary systems i.e. fire-life safety, stand by emergency generators.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations</li>\n <li>Be able to understand written and oral instructions to perform the work required.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks.</li>\n <li>Safely and skillfully use all types of related hand and power tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75lbs)</li>\n <li>Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.</li>\n <li>Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies.</li>\n <li>Manual dexterity and mobility.</li>\n <li>Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
