Quanta’s focus on the utility industry and HBK’s focus on constructability in our designs has made our integration into the Quanta family of companies seamless.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>HBK Engineering is seeking a Field Foreman oversees field surveying operations across multiple crews and is responsible for the daily direction, coordination, and quality of survey work performed by Field Technicians, Field Leads, and Senior Field Leads. The Field Foreman possesses the full technical capabilities of a Senior Field Lead and applies that expertise to plan, assign, and review field work across a variety of survey disciplines including topographic, boundary, layout, and engineering data collection. In addition to technical leadership, the Field Foreman holds direct supervisory authority over field staff, approves timesheets and expense reports, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and serves as the primary point of accountability for field operations on assigned projects. <strong>Work location Texas</strong></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Heavy Civil Survey Construction Layout and Data Collection, including data centers, substations and BESS facilities.</li>\n <li>Complex Boundary survey providing technical directions to other crews. </li>\n <li>Complex Scanning projects interior & exterior </li>\n <li>Complex layout & positional verification of construction features</li>\n <li>Can complete precise horizontal and vertical control networks. </li>\n <li>Advanced SUE field work including Pipe & Cable Locating & GPR collection in urban environment’s as well as GPR data extraction. </li>\n <li>Expert with use of total stations and robotic total stations. </li>\n <li>UAS Advance - Part 107 FAA drone pilot (HBK UAS Flight Operations Manual Level 1)</li>\n <li>Interacts with clients and contractors on site daily</li>\n <li>Directs other HBK field crews in daily operations</li>\n <li>General construction layout accuracy expected:\n  <ul>\n   <li>0.02 feet horizontal</li>\n   <li>0.01 feet vertical</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Directs the daily field operations of multiple crews consisting of Field Technicians, Field Leads, and Senior Field Leads across concurrent projects.</li>\n <li>Assigns daily work tasks, crew assignments, and equipment to field personnel based on project needs and priorities.</li>\n <li>Reviews and approvals time sheets and expense reports for all field staff under their supervision.</li>\n <li>Monitors field production, quality, and safety across all assigned crews and takes corrective action as needed.</li>\n <li>Interprets project plans, specifications, and survey control documents and communicates work scope clearly to field crews.</li>\n <li>Coordinates with Project Managers, Licensed Surveyors, and clients to align field operations with project schedules and deliverables.</li>\n <li>Identifies and resolves field problems — including access, utility conflicts, control discrepancies, and site conditions — escalating to the Project Manager or Licensed Surveyor when required.</li>\n <li>Mentors and develops Field Technicians, Field Leads, and Senior Field Leads through on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.</li>\n <li>Maintains accountability for field equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, levels, scanners, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and tracking.</li>\n <li>Coordinates with company safety contacts and ensures compliance with company safety policies and field procedures and conducts or oversees daily tailgate safety meetings.</li>\n <li>Ensures accurate and complete daily field records, field notes, and project documentation across all supervised crews.</li>\n <li>Fulltime travel</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Five (5) years of OSP survey experience in with combination of aerial and underground OSP survey is required.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel up to 90% of the time and work nights/weekends when required.</li>\n <li>Datacenter experience</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of NESC rules</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Attention to jobsite safety</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of OSP construction techniques and placement methods</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Valued but not required skills and experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>PC knowledge and/or use and Microsoft Office Suite (Word / Excel) are preferred.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.</li>\n <li>Construction experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree is a plus.</li>\n <li>I.T./S.I. T Certification is a plus.</li>\n <li>Surveying experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Aerial and/or underground OSP construction experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Physically capable of moving about on construction sites, public streets and parkways</li>\n <li>Capable of lifting up to 40lbs</li>\n <li>Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Ability to sit, kneel, and squat on a daily basis – minimal frequency of kneeling and squatting</li>\n <li>Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate surveying equipment and measurements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work environment:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-round.</li>\n <li>Frequently work in excavations areas and roadways.</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.</li>\n <li>The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud.</li>\n <li>May be required to work nights or weekends.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability and employer paid life insurance.
