At our state‑of‑the‑art Technology and Manufacturing Center in Oak Ridge, TN, you’ll play a hands‑on role in shaping the tooling that drives our production success. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you’ll design and develop the jigs, fixtures, and machine tooling packages that keep our operations running with precision, efficiency, and reliability.</p>\n<p>What You’ll Do:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bring ideas to life by designing, developing, and optimizing jigs and fixtures for machining, welding, assembly, and other critical production processes.</li>\n <li>Partner closely with cross‑functional teams to support new product launches and ensure all tooling requirements are flawlessly executed.</li>\n <li>Oversee tooling fabrication, assembly, and testing—from concept through implementation.</li>\n <li>Maintain clear, accurate documentation for all tooling packages.</li>\n <li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives in machining methods, fixturing strategies, tooling/coatings, coolant applications, material considerations, and Lean manufacturing practices.</li>\n <li>Manage your projects with ownership and accountability, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.</li>\n <li>Support and uphold all company policies, safety standards, and security requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years of manufacturing experience required.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in jig and fixture design.</li>\n <li>CNC machine tool experience.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems (NQA‑1, ISO‑TS, AS9001)</li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. </li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. </li>\n <li>Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
