    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are looking for a skilled and motivated <strong>Terminal Operator</strong> to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position will be responsible for successfully perform the day-to-day terminal operations and maintenance.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Load tanker trucks or rail cars according to job orders and in a manner to minimize spillage and dust.</li>\n <li>Offload rail cars and ships in a manner to minimize spillage, dust and contamination.</li>\n <li>Operate equipment such as Heila arm manipulator 926 M payloader/bobcats, forklifts, and Trackmobile.</li>\n <li>Diagnose cause of equipment or plant malfunction to determine root cause of problem.</li>\n <li>Repair plant and equipment, including compressors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, etc. with limited supervision.</li>\n <li>Maintain grounds to include mowing, landscaping, snow and ice removal, etc.</li>\n <li>May make minor electrical repairs.</li>\n <li>Make recommendations to appropriate plant personnel in a timely manner to prevent recurrence of problems.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in a manner to maximize production amounts and quality.</li>\n <li>Maintain safe and clean work area.</li>\n <li>Operate hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulations.</li>\n <li>Communicate verbally with all plant personnel.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Must possess excellent communication skills.</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of plant operating systems.</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must have good computer skills.</li>\n <li>Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting to 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work nights and weekends when needed.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain TWIC card within 30 days of employment.</li>\n</ul>",
