Description

Overview Job Summary Install wires and electrical components into electrical modules and assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications. Perform electrical continuity checks, operational tests per engineering and manufacturer’s instructions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Fabricate, assemble, repair, modify, test, operate and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses Mark wires, assemble lays-up, terminate (crimp and solder) to engineering schematic specifications. Install wires and electrical components into electrical modules and assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications. Check drawings for accuracy and applicability for assigned tasks and advises lead and/or supervisor of deficiencies. Perform electrical continuity checks, operational tests, and acceptance test procedures per engineering and manufacturer’s instructions on harnesses and wired components. Troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical components and assemblies per manufacturer’s instructions, engineering schematics and accepted industry practices. Record work progress, certifications, completion and testing on various production documents per company standards and established procedures. Maintain shop and work area cleanliness. Other Duties as assigned. Responsibilities Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 0% Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In accordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees may perform the essential functions of the position. Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years’ related Aircraft Electronics/Avionics experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal soldering training preferred or demonstrates acceptable performance. Skills Terminate wiring Soldering Ability to read wiring diagrams Computer Skills None Certificates, Licenses, Registrations FCC License preferred FAA repairman certificate preferred This position is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident).
