Description
The Account Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth and deepening partnerships with national and regional grocery retailers. Leveraging in-depth knowledge of the grocery and sushi industry, this role ensures seamless execution across all facets of the customer relationship lifecycle—from initial onboarding to long-term strategic planning. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to retail partners while aligning cross-functional internal teams to deliver consistent, high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing retail partners to drive growth and results. Ability to not only gather and interpret data but also distill key insights and trends to tell a compelling business story. Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking and use data to proactively help shape account strategy, drive decisions, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. We’re looking for a partner to our retailers, not just someone who finds answers, but someone who knows what questions to ask. Responsible for identifying and executing new store growth opportunities and overall sales growth across assigned accounts. Combine big-picture planning with hands-on actions to help retail partners improve performance and profitability. Serve as the main point of contact for retailers, working closely with operations, marketing, culinary, and finance teams to deliver customized, data-driven solutions. Use market and industry insights to help position Hissho Sushi as an innovative leader in the sushi space. Lead business reviews and planning meetings with senior retail leaders to align goals, drive growth, and spark new ideas. Manage promotions, pricing, and performance analysis with a thoughtful, strategic approach. Collaborate closely with the Operations Director and Managers to ensure optimal in-store execution and customer experience. Collaborate closely with Compliance to ensure all Health Department requirements are met for new and existing locations. Oversee and manage all aspects of new sushi bar openings, remodels, and service type conversions, partnering with Supply Chain and Operations to coordinate initial inventory and ensure seamless execution across departments. Represent Hissho Sushi at key industry events, strengthening our brand presence, and identifying new opportunities for expansion.
