    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing best-in-class service and support for TARGAN&rsquo;s broiler hatchery customers. This position should possess the skills necessary to maintain, repair, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug electro-mechanical chick sexing, vaccination and other integrated automated systems. Primary responsibilities for this position include maintenance and emergency repairs on all TARGAN installed equipment at the customer location. The FST must be able to use his or her outstanding mechanical skills as well as solid communication skills to work closely with customer supervisors, production employees, and technicians on complex problems and assume responsibilities for continued customer satisfaction. Work assignments will require adherence to a standardized installation, preventative maintenance, and equipment update programs for assigned customers while being able to identify and resolve unanticipated system issues in a timely manner when they occur. &nbsp;This position requires frequent travel to customer sites to assist with installation, servicing, and repair of TARGAN vaccination equipment and related sub-systems.</p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Key Job Responsibilities</span></strong></p><ul><li>Perform routine/scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned TARGAN systems</li><li>Provide electrical/mechanical support and perform emergency repairs as needed</li><li>Required participation in territory after-hours, holiday, and weekend support, as needed</li><li>Ensure the Targeted Vaccine Delivery System (TVDS) standardized operations and processes are followed and adhered to in assigned territory</li><li>Implement and manage the TARGAN end-user training program for all customer employees responsible for working with installed systems</li><li>Support and conduct the execution of the TARGAN system evaluation and performance program</li><li>Responsible for system and service-related communications within assigned customer hatcheries</li><li>Principle for collecting and completing all relevant TARGAN reporting forms and procedures including scheduling visits, system maintenance and troubleshooting outcomes, customer site contacts, on-site parts usage and inventory, customer training and certification program, and vehicle and equipment maintenance within assigned time</li><li>Provide input and support to TARGAN Engineering and Bio Research teams</li><li>Other duties as assigned based on business needs</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Key Competencies &amp; Skills</span></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC-controlled systems, and sensors (photo eyes, proximity switches, temperature, pressure, etc.)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with customers and internal teams; able to complete clear, timely service reports</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and machine drawings; capable of diagnosing issues at the component level</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Experience using laptops/tablets and diagnostic software for machine interface, troubleshooting, and service reporting</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Willingness to learn and develop technical skills</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Self-starter with solid problem-solving skills; able to identify root cause, test sensors/inputs, and restore equipment to operation with minimal supervision</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong work ethic and reliability</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Good communication skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to follow instructions and processes</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Intermediate computer skills</li></ul></div><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Education &amp; Experience Requirements</span></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Associate degree in electro-mechanical, industrial maintenance, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">1&ndash;5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated industrial equipment in environments such as manufacturing, food processing, or poultry systems</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude encouraged</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Committed to safe work practices; valid driver&rsquo;s license and willingness to travel as needed</li></ul></div><p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>The majority of work is done in a commercial poultry hatchery where exposure to a potentially hazardous environment is possible</li><li>Heat and humidity above average are common</li><li>Available for on-call/after-hours work beyond a standard 40-hour work week to respond to customer emergency calls (via telephone, video, and face-to-face)</li><li>Lift more than 50 pounds</li><li>Daily travel up to 100% of the time, but less than 50% overnight travel</li><li>Occasional travel to TARGAN headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina for training</li></ul><p><em>All the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions for which reasonable accommodation will be made.
