Description

Position Summary Tacten is currently recruiting IRATA Technicians Level 3 to support upcoming projects in the Atlantic Region, specifically in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia . This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic industrial environment where you will gain hands-on experience, further develop your technical skills, and contribute to a team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Project Details: Project-based work commencing July 2026 Work located in Halifax/Dartmouth, NS Candidates must be local to the Halifax/Dartmouth area or surrounding region. Whether you are looking to build hours, expand your experience, or work within a high-performing team, this role offers strong exposure and growth potential within the industry. Responsibilities Ensure all rope access activities are performed safely and in compliance with IRATA standards and company policies. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work using rope access methods. Plan and execute rigging setups, ensuring operational safety and compliance with site and IRATA requirements. Conduct pre-job hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and rescue plans. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and safety checks. Perform rescues and emergency response procedures as required. Mentor and evaluate lower-level technicians (Level 1 and 2) in safe work practices. Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Lead daily rope access operations, ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficiently. Oversee and coordinate team assignments, ensuring work meets clients and company expectations. Liaise with site management and clients on work scopes, safety, and progress updates. Perform equipment inspections, maintain certification records, and ensure site compliance. Requirements Valid IRATA Certification Level 3 Level 3 Technicians require Standard 1st Aide certificate Demonstrated experience working in industrial environments Strong work ethic with a reliable and dependable approach to work Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, supervisors, and team members Exceptional commitment to safety and quality standards Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and manage time effectively in dynamic work environments Self-motivated, with the ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract Core Competencies Minimum 2 years of experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in industrial environments Strong understanding of rope access theory, rigging principles, maneuvers, hauling systems, and advanced rescue techniques Demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 technicians Proven leadership and communication skills in a team environment Strong safety, quality, and client-focus mindset Self-motivated and capable of working independently in remote, high-risk, and variable conditions Problem-solving and time-management skills with attention to detail Benefits The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people.
