    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>About the Role:</strong>Allan Myers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screed Operator to join our paving crew. In this role, you will operate the screed on an asphalt to ensure a smooth, level, and properly compacted surface. Your precision and attention to detail will directly impact the quality and durability of the finished pavement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Operate screed equipment to control the thickness and smoothness of asphalt or concrete layers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor material flow and make adjustments to ensure consistent paving results.</p></li>\n <li><p>Work closely with the paver operator and ground crew to ensure efficient and accurate paving operations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Read and interpret job specifications, blueprints, and grades.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of screed equipment.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>GED / HS Diploma a plus.</li>\n <li>2 yrs of equipment operating experience is a necessity.</li>\n <li>Related work experience is a necessity.</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Make judgments regarding the most efficient operations of equipment and attachments.</li>\n <li>Must have very good hand, foot and eye coordination to safely operate their equipment</li>\n <li>Compliance with Allan Myers Polices including but not limited to:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Equipment repair / maintenance procedures and Operator Safety Standards</li>\n  <li>Safety, Safety, Safety!</li>\n  <li>“Home Safe Tonight” and related policies</li>\n  <li>“AIPS”   </li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p>\n<p>Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity. Must be able to operate for long periods of time and to get into awkward positions when cleaning and providing maintenance to the equipment.</p>\n<p>Requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb or balance. Must be able to carry or handle materials sometimes up to 75 pounds. Requires specific types of vision: close, color, peripheral.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Responsible for safety of self and fellow workers.</p>\n<p>Work conditions vary from site to site and are affected by the weather.Rough grading and undeveloped job sites present a threat to safety where carelessness or poor judgment could result in serious of fatal injury to self or others.
