    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented <strong>Fire Alarm System Designer</strong> to join our team. This role is focused on the end-to-end design of code-compliant and technically sound <strong>fire alarm systems</strong> for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will hold a current <strong>Texas Alarm Planning Superintendent (APS)</strong> license and have a <strong>minimum NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems</strong>.</p>\n<p>This position plays a key role in project delivery—from system layout to permitting—and includes managing external design subcontractors. While the core focus is on fire alarm design, experience with <strong>security systems</strong> (CCTV, access control, intrusion) is a <strong>plus</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design complete fire alarm systems, including layout drawings, risers, wiring schematics, and equipment schedules</li>\n <li>Produce accurate and code-compliant CAD drawings and documentation for submittals and permitting</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, IBC, local codes, and project specifications</li>\n <li>Prepare and coordinate full submittal packages for review by clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)</li>\n <li>Review and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings to develop complete fire alarm designs</li>\n <li>Collaborate with internal teams (sales, project management, technicians) to ensure design intent and installation alignment</li>\n <li>Act as a liaison with AHJs during permitting and inspection processes</li>\n <li><strong>Manage and coordinate work of external design subcontractors</strong> to ensure quality, timeliness, and code compliance</li>\n <li>Stay up to date on industry best practices, technologies, and evolving code requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Bonus Responsibilities (Preferred, Not Required):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with estimating fire alarm systems and budget development</li>\n <li>Provide conceptual designs for integrated security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection)</li>\n <li>Coordinate security system scope with internal teams or subcontractors</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Valid Texas Alarm Planning Superintendent (APS) license</strong></li>\n <li><strong>NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems</strong> (required)</li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in fire alarm system design</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in <strong>AutoCAD</strong> (Revit and Bluebeam experience a plus)</li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>NFPA 72</strong>, <strong>NEC</strong>, <strong>IFC</strong>, and local codes</li>\n <li>Experience developing submittals, riser diagrams, and system calculations</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to manage external design subcontractors or drafting resources</li>\n <li>Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience designing or estimating electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with integrated life safety and low-voltage systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge of estimating tools and value engineering methods</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>You’ll Benefit from:</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Unlimited Growth Opportunity</strong>: With a constantly expanding range of products and vertical markets, we consistently experience double-digit growth, creating new avenues for advancement and promotion within our company. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Comprehensive Benefits Package</strong>: Our benefits package is here to support you and your well-being.
