    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">As an ammonia refrigeration technician, your responsibilities include safe and efficient operation, inspection, and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration equipment.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Duties:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Monitor, maintains, and repairs refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant.&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various components like compressors, condensers, evaporators, and piping systems using&nbsp;skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic.</li><li>Conducts routine maintenance inspections on all equipment of the refrigeration system.</li><li>Performs daily inspections and routine maintenance on boilers.</li><li>Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repair work using ePSM software.</li><li>Working with other technicians, contractors, and plant personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the refrigeration system.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools, interpret technical instructions, and perform maintenance tasks.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in various environments, including cold, hot, wet climates along with being comfortable working at heights.</li><li>Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices</li><li>Read and interpret equipment manuals and SOP&rsquo;s.</li><li>Following safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and handling of refrigerants.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>4-5 years Ammonia refrigeration maintenance technician is a plus.</li><li>Successfully completed CARO (Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator) or CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) from RETA (Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association) is a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Knowledge:</strong><br>&bull;Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.<br>&bull;Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.<br>&bull;Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.<br>&bull;May be required to obtain and maintain valid hi-lo license.<br>&bull;Ability to work as contributing member within the team.<br>&bull;Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).<br>&bull;Knowledge of general safe work practices.<br>&bull;Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.<br>&bull;Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communications.<br>&bull;Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.<br>&bull;Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret pencil sketches and diagrams.<br>&bull;Understanding of P&amp;ID&rsquo;s.<br>&bull;Knowledge of various types of equipment in the Ammonia Refrigeration maintenance trade.<br>&bull;Will be required to be trained in HAZMAT 24 hour certification.<br>&bull;OSHA and PSM program knowledge a plus.</p><p><strong>Environmental Working Conditions:</strong><br>&bull;&nbsp;Hazards include but are not limited to cuts from broken glass, slips, trips, falls, cuts, burns and strains.<br>&bull;&nbsp;Will be exposed to extreme cold, 38 degrees or below.<br>&bull;&nbsp;Depending on season may be exposed to variable temperatures including extreme hot and cold.<br>&bull;&nbsp;Noise level may be moderate to high during busy times.</p><p><br></p><p>It is PFI&rsquo;s policy to provide equal employment opportunities to all<br>employees.
