    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Security Specialist with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.</li>\n <li>Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.</li>\n <li>May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.</li>\n <li>Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.</li>\n <li>Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.</li>\n <li>Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as proprietary information.</li>\n <li>Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.</li>\n <li>Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees.</li>\n <li>Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma</li>\n <li>5 years of relevant security related experience.</li>\n <li> Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of DoD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr. - USD $115,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
