    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Our Summer Camp Team is seeking a part-time temporary </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Camp Co-ordinator</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> (</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Summer Camp Coordinator) </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">(35 hours per week). The Summer Camp Coordinator will work in child, youth and community development with children and youth living in the Regent Park, St. Jamestown, Moss Park and Cabbagetown neighbourhoods.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span>This 9/10-week role will run from June 15 until July 31, 2026 and August 10 - August 21,2026, with one (unpaid) week off between August 3-9, 2026 due to a break in the summer camp schedule.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Please note that this job opening is for Canada Summer Jobs applicants only, who must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with the Employment and Social Development Canada as outlined:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate a 6-week Summer Camp program for children; booking field trips, buses and purchasing equipment necessary for the operation of the program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with the L.I.T. facilitator in creating opportunities for L.I.T. participation integration in the Day Camp</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Facilitate a 2-week orientation for the Summer Camp staff team; ensuring that all staff are fully prepared and equipped for the Summer Camp experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Aid in the planning and facilitating of all aspects of day camp, providing leadership for indoor and outdoor sports, arts &amp; crafts projects, tech projects, field trips, teaching, and other organized activities over the 6-week period</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Encourage camp leaders to build strong relationships, develop leadership skills, overcome social barriers and foster recognition that they have the capacity to improve their own communities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide mentorship and additional training opportunities for Camp Leaders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide opportunities for developmentally and emotionally challenged children to fully participate in activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Facilitate the planning and implementing of an end of Summer activity </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Some University experience is required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Previous camp experience in a senior leadership role is required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You have a demonstrated love for the outdoors and desire to share this with those around you</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You are dynamic and enthusiastic – a multitasker, with a knowledge of children and youth development, with experience in under resourced areas and a multicultural multi-faith setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Exceptional leadership and ability to motivate your staff team, as well as children and youth</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You must be a natural team builder, flexible, resilient, with a teachable spirit</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Media and Tech skills (ie. video/music editing, animation and coding) are an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Creative thinking and skilled to help develop and plan multi-media projects for children</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
