If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.</li>\n </ul>\n <div>\n  <b>Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Requirements</b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  <b><br/> </b>\n </div>\n <div>\n  Newly employed IRT Registered Nurses and current employees promoted to IRT Registered Nurse positions are required to possess a BSN or higher nursing degree.\n </div>\n <ul>\n  <li>The BSN or higher nursing degree must be completed within five years from the date of employment or placement into the IRT RN position.</li>\n  <li>Effective August 28, 2017, incumbents in CVMC IRT RN positions on the effective date will be required to satisfy the BSN degree requirement to maintain their current position.</li>\n </ul><b>Additional Requirements by Practice Area</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b><br/></b>\n</div>\n<div>\n The IRT Registered Nurse will float to the assigned units and take an independent assignment. Competency requirements will include all annual education and certifications required by each assigned individual unit to maintain competencies.
