Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsible for performing protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment for group clients, visitors, vendors, contractors and employees. Work is performed in all areas of the Coastal Convention Center. </p> \n<strong><u>Examples of Duties</u><u>, includes but is not limited to the following</u>:</strong>\n<strong> </strong>\n<li>Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with clients, visitors, and employees who require assistance. Address all inquiries in a professional manner.</li>\n<li>Assist in enforcing safety protocols and procedures, such as evacuation plans and safety drills, to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.</li>\n<li>Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, taking necessary actions to protect lives and property. </li>\n<li>Monitor and respond to alarms, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken, and incidents are investigated thoroughly</li>\n<li>Document all security-related incidents, accidents, and activities in detailed and accurate reports. Submit these reports to the appropriate authorities and management as required. </li>\n<li>Respond to disturbances, undesired conduct, and threats to life and property. </li>\n<li>Respond to assigned calls and initiate necessary reports and/or corrective action. </li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain loading dock activity to ensure appropriate property business. </li>\n<li>Answer security telephone and dispatch calls to officers using a two-way radio system. </li>\n<li>Utilize surveillance equipment, including closed-circuit television (CCTV), to monitor activities within the premises and identify potential security issues.</li>\n<li>Monitor the fire alarm system, property access control door alarm system, and other systems in the security control room. </li>\n<li>Consult internally with Company personnel to ensure adequate security. </li>\n<li>Conduct a fire watch when needed.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular patrols on foot to monitor the premises, identify potential security risks, and respond promptly to any suspicious activities or incidents.</li>\n<li>Enforce access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors gain access to restricted areas.</li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li>\n<li>Manage large gatherings and events by implementing crowd control measures and ensuring the safety of attendees.</li>\n<li>Work with minimal supervision</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, management, and staff. </li>\n <li>Ability to read, write, and understand English. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.</li>\n <li>High School Education or equivalent preferred.</li>\n <li>Active State of Florida “D” License.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years hotel security experience or minimum of two years (2) Security Supervisor/Manager experience or other management experience. Military or law enforcement background preferred.</li>\n</ul>",
