Description

Position Summary The IT Technical Associate (Senior Database Administrator) ensures the availability, performance, reliability, and recoverability of UI Health's high-availability database environments across Production, Test, and QA systems. The role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise databases, administering Oracle and SQL Server technologies, coordinating database services with IT teams and vendors, and supporting on-call and disaster recovery activities. Duties Responsibilities Monitor database environments for continual availability, high performance, and security. Lead in the design, development and implementation of infrastructure for database high availability and disaster recovery. Identify process improvements, automate deployment tasks, and promote innovative solutions to common business tasks. Develop custom scripts to automate various database management processes. Assist in defining and enforcing database standards, best practices, methodologies, processes and procedures. Design and develop reports and handle ad-hoc data requests. Install, configure, and integrate third party applications and tools as needed. Manage problems and problem escalations in accordance with ITIL standards. Develop and manage projects and project plans. Manages license and hardware life cycle with technology refresh schedule. Provide support to critical production systems on Campus. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve database issues. Troubleshoot database and application errors. On-call 24x7 operational support. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
