About the Role:
As a Busser in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment for guests. Your primary focus will be to support the waitstaff by efficiently clearing and resetting tables, ensuring that the dining area is prepared for new guests promptly. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipate the needs of both guests and team members, contributing to a seamless dining experience. You will collaborate closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service flow and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the establishment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Basic communication skills to interact with team members and guests. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry trays or items weighing up to 25 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team setting. Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic. Basic understanding of customer service principles. Responsibilities:
Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished dining, removing dishes, glassware, and utensils. Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments to prepare for the next guests. Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to tables when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including floors, chairs, and service stations. Support the team by restocking supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments throughout the shift. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Skills:
The required skills such as effective communication and physical stamina are essential for managing the fast-paced and physically demanding nature of bussing tables. Attention to detail ensures that tables are reset properly and the dining area remains clean and inviting, which enhances the guest experience.
