This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of a long tenured employee and offers the opportunity to step into a highly visible role with direct access to company leadership.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is not a large corporate accounting environment. We're looking for someone who enjoys being involved in every aspect of the accounting process, thrives in a small-company setting, and is comfortable operating as a one-person accounting department. Whether you're an experienced Construction Accounting Manager or a strong construction bookkeeper ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Be Doing:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Construction &amp; Project Accounting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all AIA billing, progress billing, and project invoicing activities.</li>\n<li>Track contract values, change orders, retainage, and billing schedules.</li>\n<li>Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate project financial tracking.</li>\n<li>Monitor approximately 20 active construction projects ranging from $2M-$5M.</li>\n<li>Maintain project accounting records and support job costing efforts.</li>\n<li>Prepare and submit detailed customer billing packages.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Corporate Accounting &amp; Bookkeeping</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.</li>\n<li>Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash management processes.</li>\n<li>Process payroll and payroll-related reporting.</li>\n<li>Prepare state tax filings and support compliance requirements.</li>\n<li>Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external CPA partners and support audit/bonding requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">construction</span> accounting experience.</li>\n<li>Strong experience with AIA Billing and Progress Billing.</li>\n<li>Experience managing change orders and project billing.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Must have hands-on QuickBooks experience</span></li>\n<li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills.</li>\n<li>Background working in a small company environment.</li>\n<li>Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working independently.</li>\n<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Makes This Opportunity Different?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct partnership with ownership and leadership.</li>\n<li>High visibility and impact within the organization.</li>\n<li>Stable company with strong tenure and low turnover.</li>\n<li>Family-oriented culture where people genuinely care about one another.</li>\n<li>Opportunity to own and improve accounting processes.</li>\n<li>Significant autonomy and trust.</li>\n<li>Long-term career growth potential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive base salary ($75,000 - $100,000 DOE)</li>\n<li>Annual performance bonus opportunity (10%-20%)</li>\n<li>Blue Cross Blue Shield medical coverage with the company paying 80% of premiums</li>\n<li>Company reimbursement available for employees covered under another medical plan</li>\n<li>Fidelity SIMPLE IRA with a 3% company match</li>\n<li>14 paid holidays annually</li>\n<li>PTO that grows with tenure: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years</li>\n<li>Half day Fridays</li>\n<li>Direct partnership with ownership and leadership</li>\n<li>Collaborative, team-oriented environment with a family-business mentality</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We look forward to your application!</p>",
