Description

Description The Director of Program Operations reports to the Executive Director and oversees all youth enrichment programs for NIA Community Services Network. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ● Work alongside NIA’s executive team and supporting administrative departments to manage all operational, fiscal, human resources, communications, development, and partnership efforts across all after-school program sites. ● Directly supervise Regional Program Supervisors and the Assistant Director of Program Operations; support in overseeing Multi-Site Program Supervisors. ● Oversee the selection, orientation, and ongoing training of Assistant Director of Program Operations, Regional Program Supervisors, Multi-Site Program Supervisors, and Program Directors. ● Act as first point of contact for Regional Program Supervisors regarding any program-related questions or emergencies across NIA after-school program sites. ● Plan and facilitate weekly meetings of Regional Program Supervisors, Multi-Site Program Supervisors, and Program Directors to disseminate important organizational updates, program updates and requirements, and provide opportunities for networking and support among teams. ● Meet bi-weekly with each Regional Program Supervisor individually to discuss status of assigned programs and to track compliance with DYCD requirements and OCFS regulations. ● Keep Executive Director informed of all program emergencies in real time, and meet weekly for a full department report. ● Participate in program budget meetings with fiscal and executive team members; provide feedback as needed regarding program spending and needs. ● Review reports on program enrollment and participation, scheduled activities, and quality to ensure alignment with organization, funder, and licensor expectations. ● Assist with collection and development of required documentation needed to complete funder workscopes and reports. ● Work collaboratively with Director of Education and Director of Capacity Building to develop annual staff orientation and training plans, including annual Program Directors institute, ensuring all positions meet required training requirements. ● Review data reports provided by Data Manager and Director of Capacity Building to make recommendations for program improvements or organizational needs. ● Interface with funding agency program supervisors and representatives, as well as DOHMH registrars and supervisors. ● Work alongside Executive Director to establish new school/CBO partnerships, and serve as organization contact for school administrators as needed. ● Conduct annual performance reviews for all assigned staff. ● Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including topics required to maintain organization compliance with funder and licensing requirements. ● Additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational goals. Qualifications Qualifications: ● Demonstrated professional experience within a youth-serving program or organization. ● A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, overseeing youth-serving professionals. ● SAC credential or equivalent educational experience required. ● Experience and expertise in the utilization of program-related online systems, and strong knowledge of funder, licensor, and NYCPS requirements is required. ● Excellent leadership, supervisory, and team-building skills, including the ability to motivate, align staff efforts to changing priorities and approaches, set goals, delegate responsibilities, and manage staff performance so as to ensure effective service delivery in accordance with organizational goals and program contracts. ● Must be an effective communicator and possess strong public speaking and writing skills. ● The ability to work independently, assess priorities, take initiative, be flexible, and thrive under pressure while working on multiple tasks and projects. ● Must be computer proficient and skilled in managing multiple administrative tasks.
