    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home</strong><strong>.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position will offer you the opportunity to manage and further grow a project team consisting of engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing high voltage substations.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and implementing solutions to expand and modernize the electric grid</li>\n <li>Direct the Team Lead in the coordination of engineering and design from concept through detailed design execution, field support and closeout</li>\n <li>Support overall account management and client engagement with peer to peer reporting, coordination and conflict resolution</li>\n <li>Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget</li>\n <li>Coordinate and execute facility studies for various RTO's</li>\n <li>Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements</li>\n <li>Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats</li>\n <li>Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation</li>\n <li>May be responsible for Business development opportunities with existing and new clients.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Dependent upon your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program or an advanced management/business degree</li>\n <li>Specific hands on experience with MISO facility studies and knowledge of DPP process</li>\n <li>Specific experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission & Distribution Substation Projects</li>\n <li>Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI</li>\n <li>10 or more years experience in the design of multi-disciplined solutions in a project team environment for utility high voltage substations. Experience must include an understanding of electrical, civil, structural scopes of work,  conceptual development, industry best practices, design basis, the selection of equipment and materials, and the preparation of construction packages</li>\n <li>Five or more years experience in leading an engineering design team through all phases of a project design</li>\n <li>Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design</li>\n <li>Proven communication skillset both verbal and written in support of presentations, proposals and reports</li>\n <li>Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role</li>\n <li>Experience and understanding of construction documents</li>\n <li>Willing to travel to project sites and/or attend client meetings</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>FE or PE License</li>\n <li>PMP Certification</li>\n <li>Construction and start-up experience a plus</li>\n <li>Commissioning experience a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
