    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Welding Centre of Excellence (COE) Welding and Materials Testing Laboratory located at Vancouver Shipyards is a CSA- certified and ISO- accredited facility. The COE lab provides critical support for welding procedure qualification and material verification testing. Since early 2023, it has contributed to key initiatives under the National Shipbuilding Strategy, including welding procedure qualifications for the Polar Icebreaker project.</p><p>As a Centre of Excellence (COE) Lab Intern, you will support mechanical testing activities related to welding procedures development, assist technical department and production team, and participate in various testing and analysis activities on materials and welding related issues.
