    "description": "<p>LaPrairie Crane is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 – 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking applications from skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians who are interested in joining our growing team in Winnipeg, MB. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and will satisfy the following criteria:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Duties will include the following:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance</span></li>\n<li><span>Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment</span></li>\n<li><span>Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts</span></li>\n<li><span>Repairing damaged equipment parts</span></li>\n<li><span>Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles</span></li>\n<li><span>Repairing and servicing machine attachments</span></li>\n<li><span>Performing major repair work when necessary</span></li>\n<li><span>Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed</span></li>\n<li><span>Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management</span></li>\n<li><span>Travel to other LaPrairie Crane locations when needed and be away for extended periods of time </span></li>\n<li><span>Performs other duties as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Desired skills and Experience:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>High School Diploma or equivalent</span></li>\n<li><span>Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship Documentation</span></li>\n<li><span>CVIP License is considered an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic</span></li>\n<li><span>Understanding of computer testing technologies</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic &amp; electrical systems, and construction equipment</span></li>\n<li><span>Good communication skills</span><span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>This role may include shift <span>rotations, including to Yorkton, SK and other LaPrairie Crane locations, for periods up to 6 months or longer depending on business needs.</span></p>\n<p> </p>",
