    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><b>Great Blue Heron Casino &amp; Hotel is seeking a Part-time Food &amp; Beverage Host!</b></span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Under the general direction of the Food and Beverage Manager or designate, this position will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for restaurant guests.&nbsp; This role must lead by example in contributing to a safe and welcoming environment and creating great guest experiences.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:&nbsp;</b></span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:26.95pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers in an upbeat, positive and professional manner;</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available at the restaurants and food hall;</span></li>\n <li><span>Processes all cash and credit card transactions utilizing the P.O.S. system;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensures accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of the shift;</span></li>\n <li><span>Identify opportunities to upgrade products and maximize upselling opportunities to increase revenue;</span></li>\n <li><span>Attends cash and serves guests in a timely and professional manner;</span></li>\n <li><span>Wipes and clears tables to ensure cleanliness in the food hall and buffet dining area;</span></li>\n <li><span>Welcome and greet guests; answer general inquiries relating to food, beverages and other restaurants on the premise;</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintains clean service areas and stocks shelves as required;</span></li>\n <li><span>Reports any irregular/suspicious activities, malfunctions and hazards to the supervisor immediately;</span></li>\n <li><span>Assists other co-workers as requested;</span></li>\n <li><span>Seats guests to minimize wait times as required by the management team;</span></li>\n <li><span>Understand and follow opening and closing cashier duties;</span></li>\n <li><span>Regular cleaning and sanitization of counters, refrigerators, and other equipment in the work area;</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required;</span></li>\n <li><span>Adheres to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;</span></li>\n <li><span>Performs other duties as assigned as the Food &amp; Beverage Management Team</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:26.95pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:&nbsp;</b></span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:26.95pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;</span></li>\n <li><span>Valid Smart Serve Certificate required;</span></li>\n <li><span>Previous cash handling experience;</span></li>\n <li><span>Previous P.O.S system experience an asset;</span></li>\n <li><span>Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;</span></li>\n <li><span>Must be people-focused and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service;</span></li>\n <li><span>Proactive and solution oriented with a drive to succeed;</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrate strong initiative, active listening and teamwork skills;</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;</span></li>\n <li><span>Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>This role requires extended period of standing, walking, bending and may lift up to 35 lbs</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
