    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Test Engineer is responsible for overseeing the final test department by executing, analyzing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical test processes for medium and high-voltage power cables. This role ensures products meet applicable standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements through rigorous testing, data analysis, and process control.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Supervision</strong>: responsible for Supervision of the Final Test operators as well as technical (hands-on testing and diagnostics) and procedural (ensuring cables are tested per specification and industry standards).</p><p>Testing and Validation: perform electrical testing, including:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Partial Discharge (PD) testing</li><li>AC Withstand testing</li><li>Insulation resistance and continuity testing</li></ul><p>Conduct mechanical and physical tests:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Tensile strength and elongation</li><li>Dimensional verification</li><li>Validate cable performance against applicable industry standards (UL 1072,&nbsp;ANSI/ICEA S-97-682, ANSI/ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8)</li></ul><p>Process Control &amp; Quality Assurance:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Ensure adherence to documented quality control procedures and test methods&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor critical test parameters and identify deviations or anomalies&nbsp;</li><li>Support nonconformance investigations and corrective actions (RCA, CAPA)&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain traceability of test results to material lots and production runs</li></ul><p>Equipment &amp; Calibration:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-voltage test equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure all test instruments are calibrated and maintained per schedule&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in validation and commissioning of new test systems.</li></ul><p>Data Analysis &amp; Reporting:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Record, analyze, and interpret test data for compliance and trends to ensure Certified Test Reports are completed on time.</li><li>Support internal audits and customer inspections with accurate documentation.</li></ul><p>Continuous Improvement:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability&nbsp;</li><li>Support implementation of new testing methods or technologies&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>AS/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Equivalent experience in cable testing environments may be considered)</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>1-3 years in cable manufacturing, high-voltage testing, or related field</li><li>Hands-on experience with MV/HV cable testing (PD, AC withstand preferred)</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards ((UL 1072,&nbsp;ANSI/ICEA S-97-682, ANSI/ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8)</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Skills Required</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking&nbsp;</li><li>Effective communication with cross0functional teams and stakeholders</li><li>Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical test principles and insulation systems (XLPE, EPR)&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with high-voltage test equipment and safety practices&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and test standards&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 preferred)</li><li>May require shift work or overtime based on production demands</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>In summary, This role bridges <strong>engineering, quality, and production</strong>, ensuring every cable released has been <strong>validated electrically, mechanically, and procedurally</strong> before reaching the customer.</li></ul></div>\n",
