Program schedules include indoor/outdoor, active/quiet and individual group activities.</li>\n<li>Ensures activities adhere to the BGC Okanagan Policies and Childcare Licensing Regulations.</li>\n<li>Monitor, guide and assist children in daily activities.</li>\n<li>Attends to children’s physical needs, which may include diapering, toileting, eating and sleeping.</li>\n<li>Model developmentally appropriate activities and positive behaviour management techniques. Conducts activities with children on an individual and group basis to promote the development of physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills.</li>\n<li>Keep program facilities and equipment safe and clean, reporting any repairs and concerns to senior staff.</li>\n<li>Administers first aid and medication in accordance with established policy.</li>\n<li>Ensures a healthy and safe environment in which children can interact. Identifies and removes potential hazards.</li>\n<li>Maintains records, reports problems or concerns to senior staff.</li>\n<li>Establish positive relationships and open communication with parents/guardians</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Early Childhood Assistant Certification is required</li>\n<li>Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful completion of Agency screening process, including a criminal record check</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Information:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is open to all applicants</li>\n<li>This position requires union membership.</li>\n<li>Only qualified Early Childhood Educator Assistants with current certificate to practice in British Columbia will be considered.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours: </span>25 hours per week, Monday to Friday</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rate of Pay: </span>$20.60 per hour</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date: </span>Open until filled</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>As an equal opportunity employer, BGC Okanagan is committed to the prioritization of equitable and inclusive employment practices.
