    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>ModCorr offers rapid, efficient delivery and setup of minimum to maximum security correctional facilities and specialty units. All products are constructed offsite in a controlled environment and conform to the same building codes as traditional construction. ModCorr&rsquo;s safe, secure and high-quality units comply with all American Correctional Association (ACA) and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Position Summary</h2><p>The QA/QC Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all prefabrication processes and products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure they meet blueprints, technical specifications, and client requirements. The QA/QC Inspector supports continuous improvement efforts, identifies non-conformances, and collaborates with production teams to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance with industry standards, including ISO requirements.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;This position reports directly to the Director of QA/QC (or designated supervisor) and works closely with production, engineering, and project teams.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Inspection &amp; Testing</h3><ul><li>Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products.</li><li>Verify conformity to specifications, blueprints, and industry standards.</li><li>Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection instruments.</li></ul><h3>Documentation &amp; Reporting</h3><ul><li>Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including logs of non-conformances.</li><li>Prepare and distribute inspection reports to supervisors, engineers, and management.</li><li>Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders.</li></ul><h3>Quality System Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure adherence to ISO standards, company quality policies, and customer requirements.</li><li>Participate in internal and external quality audits.</li><li>Support the enforcement of quality procedures throughout fabrication and assembly processes.</li></ul><h3>Problem Solving &amp; Corrective Action</h3><ul><li>Collaborate with production and engineering teams to determine root causes of defects.</li><li>Recommend and support corrective actions to eliminate quality issues.</li><li>Provide feedback to help improve manufacturing and inspection processes.</li></ul><h3>Continuous Improvement</h3><ul><li>Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control procedures.</li><li>Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge and Skills Required</h3><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required. Additional certifications or training in quality control or inspection preferred.</li><li>2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.<br>&nbsp;- Experience with metal fabrication processes and tolerances preferred.</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations.</li><li>Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).</li><li>Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards preferred.</li><li>Welding experience and/or SPC (Statistical Process Control) knowledge a plus.</li></ul><h2>Work Environment</h2><p>The QA/QC Inspector will primarily work in a fabrication shop setting with exposure to machinery, equipment, noise, and potential hazards. The role also includes office-based tasks for documentation and reporting.
