Reporting to the <span>Regional Accounting Manager</span>, you will play a hands on role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies. </span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span>What You'll Be Doing</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.</li>\n<li>Perform and review intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.</li>\n<li>Record and reconcile commission accruals and commission payments.</li>\n<li>Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</li>\n<li>Prepare monthly variance and flux analyses to support financial review and decision-making.</li>\n<li>Ensure financial records, reconciliations, and documentation are accurate and GAAP-compliant.</li>\n<li>Assist with consolidation activities and regional financial reporting.</li>\n<li>Apply GAAP in day-to-day accounting activities and support adherence to corporate accounting policies.</li>\n<li>Assist with internal and external audits, including responding to audit requests and documentation needs.</li>\n<li>Support tax-related processes and compliance initiatives as required.</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.</li>\n<li>Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and onboarding of new entities.</li>\n<li>Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).</li>\n<li>Collaborate with FP&amp;A, AR, AP, Collections, Sales, and Corporate Accounting teams to support accurate financial reporting.</li>\n<li>Provide guidance and support to Staff Accountants and assist with mentoring and development.</li>\n<li>Support Regional Finance Management with job reviews, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc reporting.</li>\n<li>Support finance transformation initiatives and other responsibilities as assigned.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Other responsibilities as assigned.</span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span>What You Bring</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related equivalent; CPA designation preferred with strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance.</span></li>\n<li>Three to six (3–6) years of progressive accounting experience.</li>\n<li>Proven financial project management skills, including cost analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.</li>\n<li>Experience optimizing financial systems and streamlining accounting processes.</li>\n<li>People management expertise, with a track record of coaching and developing accounting professionals and teams.</li>\n<li>Exceptional skills in financial software and reporting tools (ERP systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive, Excel, financial modeling).</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span>Accessibility Commitment</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<p><span>At O’Dell HVAC Group, we’re all about building a workplace where everyone can thrive. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).</span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>If you need accommodations during the hiring process or on the job, please contact us.
