This role is responsible for performing medical evaluations, managing acute and chronic health conditions, prescribing medications (including MAT when indicated), and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams.</p>\n<p>The FNP ensures that all services meet <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMAR regulations, OHCQ standards, and Maryland Health–General Article Title 19 requirements</span> while supporting integration of behavioral and somatic health services. The FNP is authorized to bill CPT codes <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">99202–99205 and 99211–99215</span> for eligible services rendered.</p>\n<p>This position plays a critical role in bridging the gap between primary care, mental health, and substance use treatment, ensuring that clients receive safe, person-centered, and regulatory-compliant services.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct face-to-face medical evaluations, wellness visits, and follow-up care for enrolled clients.</li>\n<li>Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions; prescribe medications within scope of practice.</li>\n<li>Perform initial and ongoing MAT evaluations, including induction, stabilization, and monitoring, as needed.</li>\n<li>Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and urine drug screens.</li>\n<li>Review, document, and update comprehensive medical histories, including conditions, allergies, communicable diseases, and medications.</li>\n<li>Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans, including referrals to primary care providers or specialists.</li>\n<li>Educate clients and families on disease prevention, wellness strategies, relapse prevention, and safe medication use.</li>\n<li>Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and staff trainings.</li>\n<li>Document all encounters in the EHR (ICANotes) in compliance with COMAR, Medicaid, and payer standards.</li>\n<li>Support audit readiness, licensing inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to after-hours emergencies when delegated or on-call.</li>\n<li>Act as clinical consultant for complex cases requiring coordination with outside providers.</li>\n<li>Participate in peer reviews, documentation audits, and policy updates.</li>\n<li>Provide staff coaching and consultation on medication protocols, infection control, and resident safety.</li>\n<li>Represent the organization in family meetings, licensing reviews, and community partner engagements.</li>\n<li>Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Operations Leadership.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong clinical skills in primary care, integrated care, and addiction medicine.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of COMAR, OHCQ, CARF, SAMHSA, and DEA regulations.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in EHR systems (<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ICANotes preferred</span>) and CPT coding.</li>\n<li>Effective communication, teamwork, and conflict-resolution abilities.</li>\n<li>Crisis response and clinical decision-making under pressure.</li>\n<li>Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).</li>\n<li>Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.</li>\n<li>Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).</li>\n<li>Valid DEA registration and CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) registration.</li>\n<li>Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in primary care, behavioral health, or integrated healthcare settings.</li>\n<li>Experience with MAT services strongly preferred.</li>\n<li>Active CPR/First Aid certification.</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain professional liability/malpractice insurance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
