Learn more at www.dminc.com</p>\n<h2>About the Opportunity</h2>\n<p>DMI, LLC is seeking a <strong>VMware Infrastructure Engineer</strong> who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a highly available, secure, and resilient enterprise virtualization environment supporting our state client. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring operational stability across VMware-based infrastructure platforms, supporting production systems that require strict uptime, security, and disaster recovery standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While familiarity with the skills listed is important, the candidate needs to be highly proficient in <strong>Windows Server</strong> operating system vulnerability remediation. We have an existing patching team, but we need a star who can resolve issues when automated OS patching fails. Pertinent skills include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Log Analysis:</strong> Expert-level parsing of CBS.log, DISM.log, and WindowsUpdate.log (via PowerShell).</li>\n <li><strong>Servicing Stack Knowledge:</strong> Deep understanding of <strong>Component-Based Servicing (CBS)</strong> and the <strong>WinSxS</strong> folder.</li>\n <li><strong>Repair Tool Mastery:</strong> Advanced use of <strong>DISM</strong> (including /RestoreHealth with external sources) and <strong>SFC</strong> utilities.</li>\n <li><strong>PowerShell Scripting:</strong> Ability to automate the resetting of the <strong>Windows Update Agent</strong> and clearing the SoftwareDistribution cache.</li>\n <li><strong>Environment Management:</strong> Proficient in <strong>Tanium</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Storage & Partitioning:</strong> Troubleshooting disk space issues within the <strong>System Reserved Partition</strong> and Volume Shadow Copies.</li>\n <li><strong>Security Interoperability:</strong> Identifying conflicts between the <strong>Trusted Installer</strong> service and EDR/Antivirus agents</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Enterprise Virtualization Management</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Administer and manage large-scale VMware environments, including <strong>VMware vSphere and VMware vCenter Server</strong></li>\n   <li>Design, configure, and maintain ESXi hosts, clusters, and resource pools</li>\n   <li>Optimize virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability   Finish (DR)</strong> solutions aligned to RPO/RTO requirements</li>\n   <li>Configure and manage disaster recovery technologies (replication, failover, failback)</li>\n   <li>Execute DR testing, failover scenarios, and recovery validation</li>\n   <li>Ensure business continuity across critical applications and infrastructure platforms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Storage Integration & Optimization</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Integrate VMware platforms with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS, vSAN)</li>\n   <li>Manage storage provisioning, replication strategies, and performance tuning</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with storage teams supporting NetApp, Infinidat, or similar platforms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Core Infrastructure Services</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support dependencies including: \n    <ul>\n     <li>DNS, DHCP, IPAM</li>\n     <li>TCP/IP networking and segmentation strategies</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Ensure alignment of virtual infrastructure with enterprise network architecture</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Security & Compliance</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Implement security hardening across: \n    <ul>\n     <li>Hypervisors (ESXi)</li>\n     <li>Management planes (vCenter, admin tools)</li>\n     <li>East-west traffic controls within virtual environments</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Support vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC-driven scans)</li>\n   <li>Maintain adherence to state and enterprise security policies</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Operational Support & Troubleshooting</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Provide Tier 3 support for <strong>production-impacting incidents</strong></li>\n   <li>Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions</li>\n   <li>Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support for critical outages</li>\n   <li>Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Change Management & Governance</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Execute infrastructure changes in accordance with enterprise change management processes</li>\n   <li>Document design decisions, configurations, and implementation steps</li>\n   <li>Participate in CAB reviews and ensure minimal risk to production systems</li>\n   <li>Support audit requests and regulatory compliance requirements</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Years of Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>\n <li><strong>7+ years of experience</strong> in enterprise infrastructure engineering</li>\n <li><strong>5+ years of hands-on VMware experience</strong> (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) in large-scale environments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Required Skills & Certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deep expertise in: </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi administration</li>\n  <li>HA/DR architectures (SRM, replication, backup platforms)</li>\n  <li>Enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS, vSAN, replication technologies)</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of: </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>DNS, DHCP, IPAM</li>\n  <li>TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and segmentation</li>\n  <li>Windows Server and Linux operating systems</li>\n
