This position will ensure that all estimates are completed following local, state, and national code and in compliance with contract documents of new and/or existing projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. </em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and/or oversee complete electrical take-offs for large and complex projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.</li>\n<li>Perform electrical calculations and develop designs for design-build projects in compliance with project requirements.</li>\n<li>Review, analyze, and interpret contract documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.</li>\n<li>Prepare detailed breakdown charts, fixture schedules, and switchgear schedules for new projects.</li>\n<li>Assist the Senior Estimator with the development and preparation of project Scope of Work documents.</li>\n<li>Solicit, review, and evaluate material quotations from suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.</li>\n<li>Request, receive, and assess subcontractor proposals for inclusion in project bids.</li>\n<li>Support final negotiations to secure contracts and commitments with clients.</li>\n<li>Contribute to business development efforts by fostering relationships with new and prospective clients.</li>\n<li>Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to Estimators I and II, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.</li>\n<li>Participate in job turnover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to operations.</li>\n<li>Conduct value engineering exercises as directed by the Senior Estimator to optimize project costs.</li>\n<li>Develop sub-job breakdowns and prepare detailed construction estimates.</li>\n<li>Process and prepare change orders as required throughout the project lifecycle.</li>\n<li>Draft and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) or clarifications to address contract or design discrepancies.</li>\n<li>Lead pre-bid reviews in the absence of the Senior Estimator or as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:</span></em></span></p>\n<p><em>Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
