Pharmacy technician activities are performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">High school graduate or GED certificate</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification National Exam.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Must be Louisiana Board of Pharmacy licensed to practice and complete a minimum of one ACPE unit approved ACPR or CPE, or ten (10)hours of continuing education each year as a prerequisite for annual renewal of license.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be culturally sensitive.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Possess the ability to communicate effectively all levels within the centers and community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Possess excellent math abilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Present a professional image and the ability to maintain the highest level of quality patient and community relations in representing the foundation. </span><br></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"> </span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Translate prescription information from providers’ orders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Enter prescription data into pharmacy software with accuracy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Inform pharmacist on duty of any contradictions, therapeutic duplications or other issues arising from drug utilization reviews.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Monitor third party rejections or other communication signaling cost prohibition or underpayment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Perform prescriptions filling functions as detailed in the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy laws and Regulations Reference manual and revised in bulletins.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Observe inventory and create/modify wholesaler purchase orders online.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Monitor pharmacy inventory for expirations or overstock.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Prepare wholesaler returns.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Perform register functions as necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions requests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Act as a liaison between providers and patients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Communicate with third parties on behalf of patients with prescriptions concerns.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy department</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Assume additional duties when necessary to ensure quality health services are being rendered by the center and all other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
