You partner with Operations leadership to enhance control effectiveness and audit readiness. Your work matters because it protects our business, supports regulatory compliance, and fosters a culture of accountability. You’ll be the primary point of contact for internal audit, compliance testing, and regulatory engagement preparation within scope. Finance &amp; Business Management (F&amp;BM) is committed to supporting your growth and impact.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the end-to-end control environment for Public Sector Operations</li><li>Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks</li><li>Drive disciplined execution of the control framework, including issue management and risk assessments</li><li>Monitor control performance through deep dives and thematic reviews</li><li>Own the issue management process, including triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation tracking</li><li>Manage operational risk events and near-misses, ensuring timely reporting and lessons learned</li><li>Partner with business teams to embed controls into process design and change initiatives</li><li>Support audit and regulatory readiness by maintaining documentation and orchestrating responses</li><li>Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification to improve reliability</li><li>Serve as the primary first-line control contact for internal audit, compliance testing, and regulatory engagement</li><li>Travel domestically up to 15% as required<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>This role supports US Federal government contracts that <strong>require U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent status</strong></li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience in Control Management, Operational Risk, Audit, Compliance, or related roles</li><li>Proven ability to design and assess control frameworks and lead issue remediation</li><li>Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders</li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree</p><p><br>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in Public Sector and/or Operations</li><li>Relevant certifications in risk, audit, or controls are beneficial</li><li>Expertise in operational risk and control principles, including control design and audit readiness</li><li><p>Excellent executive written and verbal communication;&nbsp;</p><p>Strong time management and prioritization skills</p></li><li>Ability to drive accountability without direct reporting lines</li><li>Sound judgment and intellectual honesty</li><li>Comfort constructively challenging stakeholders</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Security Clearance Requirement:</strong></p><p>A Government Security Clearance, including Public Trust clearance, will be required for this position. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening to obtain the necessary clearance.
