    "description": "<p>PoP: March 1, 2026 – Feb 28, 2031 (at the discretion of the US govt)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Clearance: Top Secret <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE CLEARANCE</span></span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Background:</span><br>This acquisition will benefit the USAF by providing the necessary workforce structure required to meet overall mission of Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting AFLCMC/EBU Weapons Superiority Division (Robins AFB) efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Linux Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Linux servers and workstations, collaborate with the IT team to handle Linux-based infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to users. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux operating systems, networking, and scripting languages</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Security Clearance:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility</li>\n<li>Eligibility for access to Special Access Program (SAP) Information</li>\n<li>Ability to successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly)</li>\n<li>SCI experience or similar types of programs may be used in lieu of SAP experience, contingent upon customer approval</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 - 2 years related experience</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.</li>\n<li>Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.</li>\n<li>Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS (CNAME, SRV, MX, AAAA, A, etc.), and VPN.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.</li>\n<li>Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Active Directory equivalent for Linux – e.g. OpenLDAP, NFSv4, Puppet, FreeIPA.</li>\n<li>Microsoft Office 2016/2019 Enterprise Suite, Active Directory (Azure Domain Services, AD Connect, ADFS, Group Policy Object (GPO)) administration experience</li>\n<li>Active Directory administration, including Group Policy &amp; endpoint management (Windows Server 2019 or higher, Ubuntu, CentOS, and/or Red Hat)</li>\n<li>Windows/Linux server Systems Administration (SaaS applications, hardware &amp; networking services) experience</li>\n<li>Experience administering Backup &amp; Recovery for critical systems</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Shell scripting language to develop and troubleshoot scripts for performing systems administration tasks</li>\n<li>Analytical &amp; communication skills for relaying technical information to others</li>\n<li>Knowledge in Patch Management, Software Deployment, OS Imaging &amp; Deployment using deployment tools such as PDQ Deploy &amp;/or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) </li>\n<li>Experience with network storage devices</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Desired Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area or equivalent experience (1 year).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Contractor shall comply with Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification. As prescribed in 239.7103(b), the Contractor shall:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must meet and maintain position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Manual 8140.03 for Information Assurance Technician Level II prior to the date of hire; and</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Appropriate operating system certification for information assurance technical positions as required by DAFMAN 17-1305.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Performance Task:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install, configure, maintain, audit, and support a secure Linux operating systems network environment and other mission related software (e.g., DevOpsSec, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, etc.)</li>\n<li>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs.</li>\n<li>Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.</li>\n<li>Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.</li>\n<li>Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python to streamline processes and improve efficiency.</li>\n<li>Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity.</li>\n<li>Install, configure, and maintain network services, including DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.</li>\n<li>Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and scalability.</li>\n<li>Maintain internet applications and protocols IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, QoS, and SSL</li>\n<li>Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required</li>\n<li>Interface with local customers and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems</li>\n<li>Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dental insurance</li>\n<li>Health insurance</li>\n<li>Life insurance</li>\n<li>Paid time off</li>\n<li>Professional development assistance</li>\n<li>Retirement plan</li>\n<li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n<li>Vision insurance</li>\n</ul>",
