Overview As a family-owned company founded on the premise that we will have an employee focused culture, Aegis Living is in search of a Human Resource Business Partner who can approach our diverse employee needs with skill and finesse. Aegis Living has 39 Communities across WA, CA, and NV. We offer luxury Assisted Living and Memory Care in communities that are designed to celebrate life and provide loving care for our residents. The Human Resource Business Partner will be a hands-on people leader who will lead and administer innovative and competitive Human Resource practices to our 3000+ employees across all 39 Aegis Living communities. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Human Resource Business Partner will partner and collaborate with business leaders to build strategies and set priorities. They will develop and execute HR strategies across organizational effectiveness and design, talent management, manger effectiveness, culture, and engagement. They serve as a strategic partner to leaders on human resource related issues and serve as an employee champion throughout the employee lifecycle. They will demonstrate the capacity to interpret data driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and overall employee experience. The HRBP supports human resource projects and teams to meet the needs of managers and staff and in support of the company's strategic objectives. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supports and advises Sr. Leadership and management team with respect to key Human Resources initiatives and processes. Handles all employee relation matters including harassment, discrimination, violations of compliance regulations and employment policies. Administers the appeal and grievance processes and make recommendations for appropriate personnel action for heavy populated hourly workforce. Interprets policy and procedures and provides guidance in a consistent manner to leadership and employees. Provides input and feedback in policy and procedure updates and implementation. Point of contact for Aegis Home Office new hire and onboarding activities. Administers unemployment claims and paperwork for Aegis Home Office employees. Assists leadership and employees regarding FMLA, workers compensation, and disability concerns. Point of contact for line level employee grievances. Partner with leaders to initiate and carry out performance management and termination process. Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed. Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related degree Related experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Experience: 7+ years of related Human Resources experience in a HR leadership role with broad knowledge in human resource management including performance management, compensation, wellness programs and employee relations. 4+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring teams. 3+ years Employee Relations experience Technology proficiency. Adept with Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Legal and Compliance. Highly knowledgeable regarding Washington, California, and Nevada federal employment and labor laws and regulations with the ability to effectively communicate this information to management. Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment. Highly motivated, self-starter with broad scope of HR skills HR certification a plus. Benefits: Vacation + Sick Pay + Appreciation Days Medical/ Dental/ Vision 401K Location & Work: This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) at our Bellevue, WA corporate headquarters.
