    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Marine Systems, Inc. is hiring for a Field Mechanic III in our Baton Rouge, LA location. 70806</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Learn job safety while working in a field service environment</li>\n <li>Learn proper rigging and material handling </li>\n <li>Maintain safe working conditions in your work area at all times\n  <ul>\n   <li>Use Stop Work Responsibility to stop an unsafe act  </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Learn to fill out and turn in timecard / time sheet</li>\n <li>Learn equipment disassembly while working with senior mechanics </li>\n <li>Learn parts identification and parts handling \n  <ul>\n   <li>Learn how to use parts manual</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Learn engine/gear applications and systems (air, fuel, water and oil) \n  <ul>\n   <li>Learn to use Maintenance Manuals </li>\n   <li>Learn torque values and weights</li>\n   <li>Learn application of parts while assisting senior mechanics with reassembly </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Learn to use the “I expense” system for job expenses </li>\n <li>Follow service job protocol </li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Safety</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety. </li>\n <li>Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.</li>\n <li>Report safety observations, including near misses. </li>\n <li>Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain a positive attitude and work towards achieving a Safety Goal of Zero Incidents</li>\n <li>Maintain dependability and punctuality</li>\n <li>Work on Weekends and Holidays   </li>\n <li>Work under the direction of Senior Mechanics</li>\n <li>Work out of town for extended periods  </li>\n <li>Maintain Good Study and Learning Habits</li>\n <li>Maintain Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.</p>",
