This position ensures that patients maintain academic progress during hospitalization by adapting instruction to meet individual needs and collaborating with their home schools.</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 48px;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Provide individualized instruction to hospitalized children across a range of grade levels and academic subjects.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Collaborate with patients’ enrolled schools to obtain and implement current educational materials and assignments.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Utilize and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when available to support students’ learning goals.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate medical conditions such as chronic illnesses, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, brain and spinal tumors, and organ transplants.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families, medical teams, and school personnel.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that respects each child’s physical and emotional needs.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Advocate for the educational rights and needs of hospitalized children</span></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>Educational Planning &amp;
