    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and vessels to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the cardiovascular system.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<li> Knowledgable of and selects appropriate ultrasound equipment for echocardiogram procedures.</li>\n<li> Monitors sound waves for quality of ultrasonic patterns and documents on appropriate media to obtain a permanent record of examiniation.</li>\n<li> Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results.</li>\n<li> Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is operating effectively. Reports malfunctions.</li>\n<li> Collaborates effectively with other members of healthcare team concerning pertinent patient information and interventions needed.</li>\n<li>Completes other duties or task as assigned.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required</strong><strong>Education/Licensure:</strong> Completion of ultrasound program; RVS or RVT eligible preferred . <strong>Experience:</strong> No previous experience required, but preferred. <strong>Additional Skills/Abilities:</strong> BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.</p>",
