Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Directs and coordinates activities of the assembly department by performing the following duties on the night shift.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Conduct safety weekly meeting (Toolbox) to build safety awareness in the work place.</li><li>Reinforce safety policy and rules including identifying potential hazards in the work area and reduce or eliminate them.</li><li>Manage and control manpower including attendance in the responsible area to secure line capacity and to meet delivery schedule.</li><li>Interpret drawings / blueprints and communicate or instruct team members following standard work instruction and industrial standards (ISO9000, API661 and etc.).</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor quality in accordance with the company ISO Quality Plan.</li><li>Trains, or assists in the training of other employees in assembly processes.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be able to provide supervision and working on units 80% of time.</li><li>Basic shop knowledge of structure and assembly methods and procedures.</li><li>Follow updated schedules to meet ship dates provided by management.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage multiple projects and people to ensure that they are on time and under budget; ability to track hours for the jobs and make sure there is sufficient manpower.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prioritize tasks in a self-directed and time-managed manner.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skill and communication skill.</li><li>Ability to be flexible and change tasks on a moment&rsquo;s notice.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to document data and write clear daily reports or abnormal reports (line stop) including safety reports.</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on&ndash;site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.</li><li>Assist with inspection, operate hand tools, sign off on QC check sheet, and assist in placing units in position for inspection.</li><li>Leads will also be responsible for ensuring all QC check sheets are in compliance.</li><li>Routine trouble shooting and problem solving, including finding ways of improvement for long-term solution.</li><li>Encourage continuous idea generation from team members for continuous process improvement in cost, time, and safety.</li><li>Ensure 5S (workplace organization method&nbsp;in the area with good housekeeping manner) is being applied on a daily basis.</li><li>Ensure all equipment is up-to-date and within the standards needed.</li></ul><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong><u>&nbsp;</u></p><ul><li>Ability to directly supervise up to 10 non-supervisory employees. &nbsp;</li><li>Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Kelvion Inc., Thermal Solutions&rsquo; policies, procedures and applicable laws.</li><li>Responsibilities, as assigned by the Production Manager, will include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li></ul><p><strong><u>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, data formats, and the tools available to share data across software programs</li><li>Understanding of office network environments, e-mail, and internet</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to manage and lead the department.</li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization</li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawing, manufacturing work instructions, and other company documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and other procedure manuals in English. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs</li><li>Use advanced shop mathematics, and a variety of precision, measuring instruments</li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li><li>Work from standard process plans, blueprints, tool write-ups, sketches, illustrations and verbal information to perform assembly of mechanical operations and work involves intricate mechanical installations, close tolerances and fitting and adjusting of parts and assemblies to perform precise location and positioning.</li><li>Performs initial assembly of parts in minor assembly and sub-assembly tools to ascertain location, fit, and clearance of parts in tools and to prove methods and sequence of work operations, etc. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</li><li>Minimum 3 years in manufacturing environment required.</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer YOU:</strong></p><p>At Kelvion, we take your well-being seriously.
