These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Plant Engineering Manager role is responsible for providing leadership and organization for Engineering, Maintenance, MRO and Quality with the ultimate objective of maximizing production volume while achieving cost targets.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Duties and responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The primary job duties and responsibilities are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages the capital budget and develops the technical talent in the group.</li>\n <li>Assures plant facilities and production equipment are properly maintained.</li>\n <li>Manages the plant Capital Budget.</li>\n <li>Works with plant technical and operations resources to identify capital deployment opportunities.</li>\n <li>Submits Capital Asset Request and coordinates of capital activities.</li>\n <li>Provides engineering support and resources to sustain plant production.</li>\n <li>Coordinates communication and implementation of manufacturing and technical initiatives.</li>\n <li>Manages budget, which includes technical group salaries, building and grounds, maintenance materials and utilities.</li>\n <li>Identifies Capital improvements that will assist the plant in achieving budget.</li>\n <li>Develops strong cross functional teams to allow for synergy across technical and operations groups. </li>\n <li>Responsible for hiring, salary administration, performance management including disciplinary actions, employee development and salary administration.</li>\n <li>Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.</li>\n <li>Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.</li>\n <li>Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.</li>\n <li>Maintains excellent safety record.</li>\n <li>Maintains excellent attendance record.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experience required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.</li>\n <li>At least seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment and engineering field; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated project and process management skills</li>\n <li>At least five (5) years of leadership and management experience.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. </li>\n <li>Experience with 6S, A3 and other continuous improvement tools. </li>\n <li>Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection and SAP experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>An individual must have the following skills in the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager position:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Effective leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Effective communication skills, written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. </li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Strategic planning.</li>\n <li>Negotiation skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to make sound decisions based on objective data.</li>\n <li>Able to manage multiple tasks. </li>\n <li>Able to prioritize work.</li>\n <li>Detailed oriented.</li>\n <li>Organized.</li>\n <li>Proficient computer knowledge.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is located in a manufacturing location.
