Five pools, a full-service salon and day spa, and nearby championship golf set the stage for memorable experiences framed by elegant Spanish Mission-inspired architecture, fragrant gardens filled with desert flowers, and stunning views of Camelback and Mummy Mountain.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the stewarding department during the afternoon and evening shifts to ensure proper washing of kitchen utensil sanitation. He/she is also responsible for supervising the stewarding department and ensuring that all outlet surfaces and utensils are clean and in compliance with all Health department requirements and hotel guidelines.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Fundamental Requirements:</p>\n<p>· Supervise activities of evening stewards, pot washers, and night stewards to ensure proper utensil sanitation and storage.</p>\n<p>· Comply and assure compliance with all safety standards by following all safety rules and procedures.</p>\n<p>· Check banquet hallway, loading dock, and receiving area for cleanliness.</p>\n<p>· Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen, store rooms, hallways, dock, and equipment.</p>\n<p>· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility work areas.</p>\n<p>· Keep management informed of shortage of equipment and supplies.</p>\n<p>· Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure that all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation of such is maintained.</p>\n<p>· Return all clean china, glass, and silver to its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage.</p>\n<p>· Knowledge of proper safe handling techniques for all chemicals used.</p>\n<p>· Report any faulty equipment to management immediately.</p>\n<p>· Know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment.</p>\n<p>· Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.</p>\n<p>· Follow the proper procedures in the breakdown, cleaning and reassembling of all kitchen equipment, as needed.</p>\n<p>· Follow all sanitation standards.</p>\n<p>· Prepare route sheets for the day.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education & Experience:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>· High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a related field preferred.</p>\n<p>· College course in related field helpful.</p>\n<p>· Supervisory experience preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Physical requirements:</p>\n<p>· Flexible and long hours sometimes required.</p>\n<p>· Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.</p>\n<p>· Ability to stand during entire shift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>General Requirements</p>\n<p>· Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.</p>\n<p>· Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.</p>\n<p>· Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.</p>\n<p>· Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.</p>\n<p>· Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.</p>\n<p>· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.</p>\n<p>· Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.</p>\n<p>· Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.</p>\n<p>· Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.</p>\n<p>· Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.</p>\n<p>· Perform other duties as requested by management.</p>",
