The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order and create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Save</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Assist  in  creating  a  pleasant  and  hospitable  work  environment  and  maintain  good  customer relationships.</li>\n <li> Assist, as required, with store operations.</li>\n <li> Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.</li>\n <li> Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.</li>\n <li> Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.</li>\n <li> Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”</li>\n <li> Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.</li>\n <li> Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.</li>\n <li> Maintain a clean and clutter free work area.</li>\n <li> Be well-versed in and comply with,<em> <u>Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations</u> </em>manual.</li>\n <li> This position will  support  the  work  therapy  program  component  of  The  Salvation  Army  Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).</li>\n <li> Other duties as  may  be  assigned  by  immediate  supervisor,  Store  Supervisor,  Assistant  Store</li>\n <li>Supervisor, and/or Administrator.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Cashier/Sales Floor</u></strong></li>\n <li> Comply with all cash handling and security standards as relates to cash register operations, daily sales reports and bank deposits.</li>\n <li> Sort, price, stock and “rag out” showcase merchandise and other areas as directed.</li>\n <li> Restock fitting room merchandise back to racks in proper category and color code</li>\n <li> Maintain merchandise displays as directed.</li>\n <li> Answer telephone calls in an efficient, friendly, professional manne</li>\n <li><strong><u>S</u></strong><strong><u>orter</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort minimum of 300 store quality garments an hour by department.</li>\n <li> Assist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist with hanging merchandise as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist running clothing racks as needed.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Hanger/Tagger</u></strong> </li>\n <li> Hang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks from sorting table by department on the correct hanger type, and by category in an 8 hour period.</li>\n <li> Assist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist sorting clothing as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist running clothing racks as needed.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Pr</u></strong><strong><u>i</u></strong><strong><u>cer</u></strong></li>\n <li> Price a minimum of 250 garments an hour using a wide range of prices determined by the style, quality and condition of each piece.</li>\n <li> Acquire and maintain knowledge of name brand merchandise and value.</li>\n <li> Assist moving the donations to the sorting table as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist ticketing merchandise as needed.</li>\n <li> Assist with running clothing racks as needed.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Runner</u></strong></li>\n <li> Place a minimum of 225 garments an hour from the production room to the sales floor on the proper rack by department, category and color order.</li>\n <li> Straighten and maintain the clothing racks of the departments as assigned.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li> Assist hanging merchandise as needed.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Bric a Brac</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily.</li>\n <li> Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.</li>\n <li> Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li><strong><u>S</u></strong><strong><u>hoes/Accessories</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags and accessory donations daily.</li>\n <li> Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.</li>\n <li> Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Domestics</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily as required</li>\n <li> Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.</li>\n <li> Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Books/Records/Toys</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort and clean all saleable merchandise daily as required.</li>\n <li> Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item in accordance with established policies.</li>\n <li> Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Furniture/Electrical</u></strong></li>\n <li> Sort, clean and test all electrical and furniture donations as required.</li>\n <li> Ticket all electrical merchandise using “sold as is” tickets and assign an individual fair market price for each item.</li>\n <li> Complete furniture tickets and record required information assigning a fair market price for each furniture item.</li>\n <li> Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.</li>\n <li> Mark down furniture items on sales floor in accordance with policy.</li>\n <li> Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.</li>\n <li><strong><u>Donations/Maintenance</u></strong></li>\n <li> Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, bathrooms, entry, windows, sidewalks and parking areas daily.</li>\n <li> Accept donations in accordance with standard policies while providing courteous, respectful service to the donor</li>\n <li> Able to lift 100 pounds.</li>\n <li> Receive and receipt, as per policy, all donated material in a courteous and efficient manner.
