    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1>Lead Health & Safety Officer (HSO) – Raritan & Northern NJ Projects</h1>\n<p>HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer (HSO) to support a long-term construction program in Northern New Jersey.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position will be based primarily in Raritan, NJ and will oversee safety performance for a major ground-up construction project while also supporting additional construction projects throughout Northern New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Projects involve multiple subcontractors and a variety of construction activities including excavation, trenching, crane operations, concrete placement, mechanical installation, and electrical work.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Provide daily construction safety oversight and support</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety assessments</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements</p></li>\n <li><p>Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations as needed</p></li>\n <li><p>Track corrective actions and follow up on safety observations</p></li>\n <li><p>Review high-risk activities and work plans</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare reports and communicate findings to project leadership</p></li>\n <li><p>Promote a strong safety culture among project teams and subcontractors</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting multi-employer construction projects</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with excavation, cranes, concrete, mechanical, and electrical work</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent communication and reporting skills</p></li>\n <li><p>CHST preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Additional construction safety certifications strongly desired</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Long-term construction program with projects expected to continue for approximately two years</p></li>\n <li><p>Primary assignment in Raritan, NJ</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Regional support responsibilities throughout Northern New Jersey</strong></p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Company-paid mileage and applicable toll reimbursement</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Potential overtime opportunities as construction activities increase</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>HazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
