Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential.  Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">About you:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">You will already be familiar with high pressure jetting equipment and / or drainage networks, you will be required to hold an HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally. A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">You can become a successful Utilities Waste-Water Technician if you have <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">problem-solving, listening, critical thinking, teamworking abilities and a customer focussed approach. </span>Also, as you need to operate machinery, excellent hand-eye coordination and concentration are essential skills. The following skills are also essential:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">A driving licence with no more than 6 points</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained is necessary</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Valid CPC (desirable)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Drainage experience</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">To work in the Utilities industry, you may have to compete with inclement weather outdoors. Protective clothing such as a hi-vis jacket, boots, and a helmet are mandatory requirements, and you may be asked to travel to different sites.
