Candidate must possess integrity, safety knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate. We are offering relocation assistance for those that qualify.</p><p>Offering – Competitive Pay, Room for Advancement, Health/Dental/Vision & 401K Match and much more!</p><p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p><ul><li>4+ years of heavy civil experience</li><li>Experience with Underground utilities, large diameter pipeline, Tunnels, Confined Spaces, Airport work</li><li>Experience with DOT projects is a plus</li><li>Great computer skills</li><li>Structural experience is a plus</li><li><strong>CSP</strong> or CSHO, CHST </li><li>Willing to travel/relocate</li><li>Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus </li><li>Ability to work ANY schedule </li></ul><p>DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Conduct daily safety meetings</li><li>Ensure all personnel complies with safe construction within powerline limits</li><li>Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations</li><li>Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)</li><li>Daily safety audits and inspections</li><li>Oversee all subcontractors and contractors</li><li>Inspect power tools and heavy equipment</li><li>Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)</li><li>Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation</li><li>Manager shall be at the job site full time whenever work is in progress during all shifts.</li><li>Manager shall review JHA’s to verify that the work activity’s EHS issues and hazards are accurately identified, addressed, and communicated.</li><li>Manager shall conduct EHS inspections a minimum of twice a shift to ensure that all machines, tools and equipment are in a safe operating condition, and that all work area are free of safety and environmental hazards. Take necessary and immediate corrective actions, where feasible, to eliminate all unsafe acts and/or conditions.</li><li>Experience in the following areas: Construction: Heavy Highway Construction, Tunneling, Bridge Construction, Underground Utilities, ACOE</li></ul><p>REQUIREMENTS:•</p><ul><li>4-10 years of relevant construction experience</li><li>OSHA 30 hour in Construction certification</li><li>OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER a plus</li><li>Training a plus: CHST; STSC, CSP; OSHA 510; 500, 502, ACOE EM-385-1-1 a plus</li><li>RCRA/DOT Hazardous Waste/Manifesting training</li><li>First Aid/CPR certified</li><li>Control of Hazardous Energy Sources (Lockout/Tagout)</li><li>Experience with Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation</li></ul><p>For more than 100 years, hard-working, honest, and innovative people have been building what has become Southland Holdings.
