Description

Position Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for performing project management and manufacturing planning tasks for jobs and projects in a technical and dynamic aerospace environment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Creates a work environment that is conducive for teamwork and strong professional development. Takes assigned projects from estimating stage through to completion, while providing budgeting and operational justifications, as well as performing manufacturing planning. Provides customer interface for Project Kickoff, Design Reviews, Manufacturability Discussions, Engineering Change Discussions, Equitable Adjustment, and other responsibilities as assigned. Performs initial and ongoing project reviews with internal/external customers. Develops manufacturing planning, including material takeoffs, project schedule, and coordinates with the top management to schedule and plan work efficiently. Identifies process deficiencies and develops solutions to correct and/or improve, root cause, and process flow. Coordinates the lessons learned/project reflection process for each assigned project. Perform additional assignments and/or duties as assigned by manager. Customer Status support that may require contact (verbal, written, or both) as needed. Requirements Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3-7 years of engineering or project management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Ability to initiate/manage cross-functional teams. Possesses critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to lead by influencing, negotiating, and delegating. Experience working in an AS9100 regulated environment. Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Project. Preferred: PMP Certification, or equivalent work experience. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted. Special Note The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
