    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">We are looking for an experienced EDM Machinist to join our 2nd shift in Santa Clara, CA. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">EDM Machinist Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> </span>Reviews work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and CNC EDM parameters to create parts according to customer blueprints and instructions</li>\n<li><span> </span>Monitors machine coolants, lubricants, oils, fluids, grease, and fills as required and documents maintenance on Coolant Fluid Maintenance Log</li>\n<li><span> </span>Programs, sets-up, and runs CNC EDM equipment</li>\n<li><span> </span>Performs preventative maintenance of EDM machines as required</li>\n<li><span> </span>Closely monitors and adjusts operation of machines and/or tooling while regularly inspecting parts for conformance to requirements</li>\n<li><span> </span>Designs, fabricates and/or provides support to manufacturing personnel for tooling, cutters, work holding, fixtures, jaws, and procurements required to manufacture parts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> </span>High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent</li>\n<li><span></span>5 - 10 years of experience in a precision machine shop environment</li>\n<li><span> </span>Experience working on at least two major types of CNC machines</li>\n<li><span> </span>Recent experience with programming CNC equipment utilizing CAD/CAM software systems</li>\n<li><span> </span>Must interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&amp;T)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Preferred Skills:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> </span>Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra, and geometry</li>\n<li><span> </span>Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Pay:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> </span>Competitive pay based on experience</li>\n<li><span> </span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Employees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay</span></span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> 10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span> </span>Eligible for Overtime </li>\n<li><span> </span>Opportunity for a one-time retention bonus after a set number of completed regular work hours</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Benefits:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> </span>Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision</li>\n<li><span> </span>Life and Disability: Life and Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment, Long Term Disability</li>\n<li><span> </span>401K Retirement Plan (3% company match)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About us:</span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> </span>A Silicon Valley leader in manufacturing and assemblies, Calmax Technology, Inc. manufactures precision machined parts and provides turnkey assembly to Fortune 500 customers across technology, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical industries.
