Carollo’s vision is to be the BEST water consulting firm and you’ll find that Carollo is also the best place for you to build your career.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspects construction contract related to water and wastewater facilities</li>\n <li>Reviews contract plans and specifications for constructability, notes, errors, omissions and potential problem areas</li>\n <li>Schedules, plans, coordinates, and completes site inspections</li>\n <li>Coordinates construction related system outages with client facilities</li>\n <li>Prepares complete inspection reports and maintains a daily diary</li>\n <li>Maintains complete project files including a project photo file</li>\n <li>Keeps detailed records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as built drawings</li>\n <li>Prepares monthly estimates of quantity of construction completed</li>\n <li>Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with contractors, consultant, and owner</li>\n <li>Responsible for actions and performance of Junior Level Construction Inspectors</li>\n <li>Mentors and trains Junior Construction Inspectors</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of standard construction specifications, codes and special standards, methods, materials and equipment used in construction of water and wastewater facilities</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of methods of soil compaction and density testing procedures, properties and uses of concrete, and techniques of handling, placing, curing and sampling concrete</li>\n <li>In-depth understanding of OSHA Construction Safety Orders</li>\n <li>Ability to keep neat, accurate, and concise records</li>\n <li>Work independently with minimum supervision</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communications skills</li>\n <li>Strong computer and internet skills</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>2-5 years experience of responsible field inspection</li>\n <li>Completion of OSHA 10 hour safety course and other construction training</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Two year technical or Associate Degree in a related technical field</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Other Compensation and Benefits</h2>\n<p>Carollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the care employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
