They support the daily operations in our fast-paced production area. As a Production Operator you will perform hands-on batch processing and liquid production of solvents. Loading and offloading of bulk chemical solvents and blends into tanker trucks, holding vessels, rail cars and drums. Loading and offloading of bulk chemical solvents and blends into tanker trucks, holding vessels, railcars and drums.</li>\n <li>Monitoring of tank truck and railcar loading and unloading.</li>\n <li>Handling and maintenance of equipment such as pneumatic sanitary pumps, hoses, and filter housings.</li>\n <li>Forklift and pallet jack operation.</li>\n <li>Prepare production processes by studying work orders, setting systems and controls.</li>\n <li>Produce solvents and solvent blends by initiating, monitoring, and controlling raw material processing.</li>\n <li>Maintaining quality standards by collecting samples, completing quality assurance tests, and adjusting process controls.</li>\n <li>Maintain processing system by investigating warnings and malfunctions, obtaining or performing required maintenance service on production equipment.</li>\n <li>Cleaning-up after processing.</li>\n <li>Improve processing systems by identifying problems, evaluating and recommending new techniques.</li>\n <li>Maintain processing environment by following safety, health, and environmental standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Complying with legal state and federal regulations.</li>\n <li>Make the necessary decisions to ensure production targets are met to effectively keep operations on track.</li>\n <li>Following all procedures, work instructions, batch / work orders, special instructions, and finished goods analysis sheets.</li>\n <li>Update your job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li>\n <li>Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li>\n <li>Must be willing and able to work overtime.</li>\n <li>Must have reliable transportation.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work with other people in a fast paced team environment.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School graduate or GED</li>\n <li>0-1 yrs Manufacturing experience required</li>\n <li>Basic math skills</li>\n <li>Mechanical background/aptitude is a plus</li>\n <li>Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products</li>\n <li>Analytical sampling experience a plus</li>\n <li>Must be able to speak, read and write in English</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li>\n <li>Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization</li>\n <li>Must have a valid Texas drivers’ license and clean driving record</li>\n <li>Experience operating a forklift and other manufacturing tools preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator, if needed</li>\n <li>Ability to work varied shifts to include 1st and 2nd shift, including weekends</li>\n <li>Excellent safety, work performance and attendance records</li>\n <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
