Overview We are currently seeking a licensed Drainage Engineer with 5-8 years of professional experience to be part of our Transportation Division in the Jacksonville office. Compile and coordinate of engineering documents including permit packages and design documentation reports Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams Prepare drainage plans and review shop drawings to support project design and construction documentation. Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations throughout the design process. Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college Engineer Intern (EI) or Florida Professional Engineer license (PE) Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer/Microstation/GEOPAK Desirable modeling experience with ASAD, ICPR/Stormwise, HY-8 or HEC-RAS Familiarity with FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and with large multi-discipline engineering teams is important. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work is performed in an office setting. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse. Use of a telephone headset will allow for virtual communication with team members through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
