This is a great opportunity to work on high-demand standby generators while growing your career with a stable and reputable company.</p>\n<h2><p>Wages</p></h2>\n<p>Starting wage for an Power Generator Technician will depend on experience and education. $39.88- $59.23</p>\n<h2><p>Responsibilities</p></h2>\n<h3><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on standby generator systems ranging from 5 kW to 3200 kW</li>\n <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gas industrial engines</li>\n <li>Work with CAT engines and power generation systems</li>\n <li>Perform and follow proper procedures for load bank testing</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot AC/DC control systems and emergency repair situations</li>\n <li>Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics</li>\n <li>Understand and work with automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control logic</li>\n <li>Complete preventative maintenance and major component repairs</li>\n <li>Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Maintain a strong commitment to safety at all times</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3+ years of experience in the backup generator industry or related field</li>\n <li>Experience with diesel engines, generators, or heavy equipment</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT), Cummins, Kohler, or Detroit engines highly preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Tier 4 / aftertreatment systems is a plus</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot fuel systems and engine controls</li>\n <li>Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams</li>\n <li>Intermediate or higher-level computer skills</li>\n <li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license with a good driving record</li>\n <li>Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule</li>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Pay & Benefits:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>$33.80 – $59.23/hr + OT</strong></li>\n <li>Full benefits + 401(k)</li>\n <li>Career growth & paid training</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><p>Qualifications</p></h2>\n<p>One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's heavy equipment experience or equivalent education and experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Quinn is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/DV</p>\n<p>Quinn Group, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, all applicable veteran status or disabled veteran status.
